Software Developer
Programmers perform the following functions
  1. Work on projects including web-based applications, website enhancements, desktop applications, and database-backed websites.
  2. Work within a team environment to address the programming needs of Towerline Software clients.
  3. Participate in processes concerning the architecture of new applications to meet client needs.
  4. Code web pages utilizing XHTML and CSS. Following industry standards.
  5. Work in several programming languages including, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, XML, SQL and MS Access as well as combinations of languages such as AJAX.
  6. Work with a variety of database systems including Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access among others. Work within a variety of database frameworks including ODBC and ADO.
  7. Work with third-party tools to help maximize a programmers efficiency such as Telerik Rad Controls, CodeSmith, NetTiers, SubVersion, ReSharper, DevExpress Controls, RedGate SQL tools, MbUnit and TestDriven.NET.
  8. Responsible for working on multiple projects simultaneously as directed by management.
  9. Reviews, analyzes and modifies programming-related systems including documenting, designing, developing, testing, monitoring, and maintaining programs as specified by management.
  10. Participate in review and company meetings concerning projects and programs.
  11. Document work-time and processes as specified by management.
  12. Responsible for meeting set goals and deadlines as determined by management.
  13. Provide solutions and exceed expectations of Towerline Software clients and management.
  14. Communicate effectively with clients in a courteous and respectful manner.
Responsibilities
  1. Work in a team environment to complete projects in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently as well.
  2. Interface with customers courteously and respectfully
  3. Potential on-site visits with clients.
  4. Help prepare needs assessments and project prototypes
  5. Help prepare time estimates as requested
  6. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  7. Desire to stay up-to-date on current and emerging technologies.
Hours
Software programmers work a full-time work week (40 hours). Hours are 8am until 5pm Monday through Friday, with unpaid lunch. Although rare, additional evening and weekend work should be expected during busy times.
Pay
Pay may vary based on amount of experience, school completion level, and certifications received. This is a salary position.
Benefits
After the first 90 days of employment, health coverage is available for individuals or family.
Requirements
  • Work in a team environment to complete projects in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently as well.
  • At least a Bachelor degree in a computer-related field (computer science/programming).
  • Advanced knowledge of standards-based XHTML and CSS coding (not WYSIWIG)
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages including ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, XML and SQL.
  • Extensive experience developing databases.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with web-based software applications.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Web development related certifications highly desirable.
  • Talent for developing user interfaces.
  • Desire to see your efforts go from concept to final product.

Product Support Specialist I
Qualifications
Communications, Marketing, or other related degree
Skills Required
A working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Publisher or a similar product. Creative, have the ability to process thoughts logically, possess good writing skills, have excellent communication skills, and be able and desire to contribute to the company’s success.
Helpful Skills
Ability to give good presentations, eye for art, graphic arts skills, comfortable training customers, flair for coming up with solutions to problems, and comfortable with technical work assignments.
Job Description
Support our sales and product development efforts with marketing research and development, as well as customer support and sales. Prepare meaningful communications with our customers in the form of marketing tools, training procedures, Web page content, help files, brochures, sales campaigns, software features, software look and feel, and other related tasks as assigned. Assist engineers with product support, software testing and review. Help train our customers, develop forms, review documents, prepare forms, check drawings, populate databases, and do other work as assigned.
